Zinc Cut Wire is a comparatively soft blasting abrasive with a high density, which allows it to deliver effective kinetic energy during the blasting process. Compared with steel or aluminum abrasives, it generates less dust, offers a long service life and results in relatively low wear on blasting equipment.
This abrasive is commonly used in applications where a softer blasting media is required, such as the deflashing and deburring of zinc or aluminum die cast components. It is also suitable for removing paint and powder coatings while minimizing the risk of damaging the underlying substrate.
